Mark Cameron Marshall JCM-800 2204 1 of 1 TC Mod / Doomy 800

One of one, only one made!

JCM-800 modded by Mark Cameron with the mod he later on named TC Mod. James Lugo, who also likes Mark Cameron's mods, nick named this amp the "Doomy 800".

This is an early stacked inputs JCM-800 2204, pushing out 50w.

The mod consists of re-voicing the amp and adding a little bit more gain, making it a whole lot punchier and super tight in the low end. He also added an extra knob, on the lower input jack, that when on zero, you have the amp the characteristics I've mentioned above. As you turn the knob clockwise, you increase gain, saturation and even more low end punch. So, you can go from the best stock 2204 tone with this knob on zero, to a JCM800 with an early Dual Rectifier paired with it type tone.

It's the best, biggest and tightest sounding JCM-800 I've heard. And I've heard many of them.

The video below it's this very same amp, with a home made Kramer 5150, and no pedals whatsoever. The guitar was plugged straight into the amp.
