That's a pretty wild piece of Les Paul history - rarer than most Customs from the era. Some collectors even argue the '74 customs were more exclusive than the small 1976 run. Some experts assert that only a few dozen were made.

The guitar is all original! It has an ebony fingerboard on a mahogany neck and a mahogany body with a maple top. The case is also original, although making a pretty used appearance. One latch of four is missing.

It weighs 10 lbs 4 oz. As expected, the Alpine White has beautifully yellowed and there is some finish checking, but nothing dramatic—just signs of age. On the other hand, the back is practically flawless, with no buckle rash or nicks and dings. The neck is also in excellent condition, as is the fretboard, although the frets show signs of wear, but the nibs are still there.

All in all, it's a fantastic instrument that was built in very small numbers and is now probably a collector's item. There have been no offers on the market for quite some time (Google).
