Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 8x8 MP + 8x8 MP Pro Tools HD Interface

The Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II 8x8 MP + 8x8 MP is a 2U rackmount multichannel audio interface built on the Symphony I/O Mk II chassis, configured here with two 8x8 MP modules, plus Pro Tools HD connectivity over DigiLink. As delivered it provides 16 analog inputs and 16 analog outputs including 16 mic preamps, running through Apogee's flagship conversion.

Installed I/O Modules

• 8x8 MP: 8 mic/line/instrument inputs with digitally controlled preamps and +48V phantom power, 8 balanced line outputs, plus AES, ADAT, and S/PDIF digital I/O
• A second identical 8x8 MP module fills the other bay, doubling those counts

Connectivity

A Pro Tools HD option card connects the interface over DigiLink to Pro Tools HDX and HD Native systems, so it works as a Pro Tools HD interface without a Thunderbolt host. Input and monitoring settings remain available on the front-panel touchscreen.

Chassis and Control

The Symphony I/O Mk II chassis holds Apogee's flagship conversion, a front-panel color touchscreen for input selection, gain, metering, and monitor control at the rack, and two module bays for up to 32 channels. Because the I/O is modular, the same chassis can be re-specified later as the room's channel count changes. Apogee's Symphony Control software mirrors the hardware controls on the computer, and the optional Apogee Control hardware remote adds a physical level knob and assignable buttons.
