Compact Supercardioid Dynamic Microphone for Toms, Horns, and Guitar Amps
The Telefunken M81-SH is a low-profile dynamic microphone designed for applications that demand high-quality sound in a compact form. Whether you're miking toms, guitar cabinets, or brass instruments, the M81-SH delivers the same articulate midrange and smooth frequency response as its handheld counterpart while offering a smaller footprint for precise placement in tight spaces. Its supercardioid pattern ensures excellent off-axis rejection, making it a top choice for live sound and studio recording.

Ideal for Drum Miking and Tight Fit Applications
The M81-SH is engineered to fit where traditional handheld microphones might be too bulky. Its compact design makes it perfect for drum kits, guitar amplifiers, and percussion setups, providing clear and balanced audio with minimal proximity effect. Drummers and keyboardists who need a low-profile vocal mic will also appreciate its unobtrusive form factor, allowing for better sightlines and stage presence without sacrificing audio performance.

Smooth Frequency Response for Natural Sound Reproduction
One of the standout features of the M81-SH is its ability to capture sound sources with remarkable clarity and depth. Unlike traditional dynamic microphones that can introduce harshness or excessive coloration, the M81-SH maintains a smooth, flat response. This makes it particularly well-suited for bright or high-pitched instruments like brass and woodwinds, ensuring a balanced and natural tone without excessive high-end emphasis.

Supercardioid Polar Pattern for Maximum Isolation
With its supercardioid polar pattern, the M81-SH offers superior off-axis rejection, reducing unwanted stage noise and preventing microphone bleed in live settings. This makes it an excellent choice for capturing individual drum toms or isolating instruments in high-SPL environments. The minimal proximity effect ensures a consistent and controlled low-end response, even when placed close to the source.

Includes Multiple Mounting Options and Right-Angle XLR Cable
The M81-SH comes with both the M785 and M784 drum mounts, allowing for versatile positioning on drum kits and instrument setups. Additionally, the included SGMC-5R right-angle XLR cable ensures a clean and organized setup, reducing clutter on stage and in the studio. This comprehensive package provides everything needed for professional-grade audio capture in a variety of performance environments.
