The Yamaha MODX M7 is a synth built for the modern keyboardist seeking expressive control, deep sound design, and portability with a world-class pedigree.

Sharing the same advanced DNA as Yamaha’s flagship MONTAGE M, this 76-key powerhouse combines three distinctive sound engines—AN-X for lush vintage analog tones, FM-X for dynamic modern synthesis, and AWM2 for stunningly realistic instruments. With up to 268 notes of polyphony and double the memory capacity of the previous MODX generation, the MODX M6 delivers expansive sonic potential, from classic synth textures to detailed acoustic emulations. Intuitive performance features like dedicated Part and Scene buttons, 8 assignable faders, and Yamaha’s signature Super Knob give you fluid, real-time control over layers, dynamics, and effects for a creative partner that is as expressive as you are.

An upgraded high-resolution control system ensures smooth response across knobs, wheels, and sound engines, and your fingers will love the playability of the revamped keybed as it captures every nuance of their journey . A bright color touchscreen and six display knobs streamline navigation and editing in any light. The MODX is all about playing well with others, thanks to a stereo A/D input with dual insertion effects that supports external sound sources for integrated performance setups. Speaking of integration: The included Expanded Softsynth Plugin (ESP) extends the MODX M6 into your DAW (Cubase AI included), allowing you to create, edit, and mix performances without additional hardware, bridging your studio and live environments.
