This instrument features factory-applied heavy aged processing. While it’s difficult to determine which marks are from the aging process versus actual use, overall it’s in good, problem-free condition.
There are some pick scratches on the pickguard.
Frets show no noticeable dents and are about 80% remaining.
The truss rod still has room to tighten.

This is Xotic’s JB-style 5-string model “XJ-1T,” developed in Los Angeles and manufactured in Japan. The production process includes PLEK setup, and a PLEK inspection sheet from February 2020 is included.

It features an alder body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard.
Finished in Dark Lake Placid Blue with a lacquer Heavy Aged treatment — an incredibly cool look.

Equipped with RAW VINTAGE pickups, whose wooden covers not only look great but also have a unique shape that makes a comfortable thumb rest on the 5th string side.

Controls include the standard JB-style layout of 2 Volume + 1 Tone, plus Xotic’s original 3-band active EQ. Two mini switches allow you to select the mid and treble frequency ranges.
The front volume knob’s push-pull switches the active EQ on/off, while the rear volume’s push-pull switches between series/parallel.
In series mode, it delivers a thick, humbucker-like tone, with the front volume acting as a master control.

The neck has a satin finish for a smooth, fast feel, with a comfortable medium-thickness C shape.
