Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M/J Bass, Swamp Ash Body, Maple Fingerboard, 5-String - Solid Sage Green Metallic Satin Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known M/J bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This modern bass sound can also be found in the Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M/J line of basses. This 5-string bass, seen here in a Solid Sage Green Metallic Satin finish, features a sleek, undersized, chambered J-Style body that is made of American Swamp Ash. The neck is made of American Maple and features an American Maple fingerboard. Special features of this bass include Sadowsky M and J pickups, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost, and two 3-way toggle switches for pickup configuration (series / parallel / single coil). This bass also features light open gear Sadowsky tuners and the Sadowsky Quick String Release Bridge. Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Vintage M/J basses are made exclusively in Germany. The weight of this bass is never more than 8.9 lbs (4.0 kg). A good choice for players who want a lightweight bass that offers a modern bass sound.
