A striking dark blue burst finish highlights the slender figuring that likely inspired the name “Centipede”! Be sure to take note of the headstock inlay and the back of the headstock as well!
This model delivers the rich, genre-transcending tone that is characteristic of a Les Paul Custom — a strong, focused core with impressive versatility. Now produced under the Custom Shop's system, its presence and prestige as a rock icon remain unmatched.
Based on the body construction used since the 1968 reissue — a mahogany back with a maple top — it features a slightly slimmer mahogany neck and a Richlite fingerboard, used as an alternative to ebony. The elegant block position markers, a dazzling diamond inlay on the headstock, gold hardware, and a highly adjustable Nashville-style Tune-O-Matic bridge all contribute to its luxurious feel. True to the spirit of the original design, the craftsmanship shines through in this modern interpretation of the Les Paul Custom.
Pickups include a 490R (Alnico II magnet) in the neck position and a 498T (Alnico V magnet) in the bridge. This versatile combination allows for everything from smooth, glossy clean tones to aggressive, edgy distortion — a truly all-purpose sound platform.

It was purchased as a brand new collector's item and has been stored away in its box since the day I bought it, never put to use.The finish checking (hairline cracks in the lacquer) is a characteristic feature of Gibson guitars. Even when the guitar is left unused in its case, the natural expansion and contraction of the wood can cause this fine cracking in the finish.
All import duties, customs fees, and procedures are the buyer's responsibility -
please be aware of the requirements for your country. Because we are in Japan, so it's hard to get the effective and accurate info of customs. Maybe not very precise, for your reference.
Additionally, there are some minor scratches or dings that may only be visible from very close up or at certain angles. I had not noticed these minor details before purchasing it for my collection.
