☆RODE S1 Condenser Microphone $599 MSRP - Neumann KMS 105 104 Vocal Handheld Alternative

• $599 MSRP - Likely Rode's attempt to compete with the Neumann KMS 105 with its similarities build wise
• Sounds excellent
• Comes with a mic clip

For sale is a Rode S1 handheld condenser microphone in great working shape. It’s an ideal mic for live vocals with a built-in HPF, offering studio quality sound in a rugged, stage-ready build. The S1 features a tight supercardioid pickup pattern that helps isolate your voice from ambient noise, making it a strong choice for both live performance and controlled studio setups. Additionally, disinfecting the microphone is easy since there is no foam to worry about. Simply unscrew the microphone prior to cleaning which reveals the mesh basket inside which is exactly what you will find in many of the Neumann handheld offerings.

If you’re familiar with the Neumann KMS 105, the Rode S1 delivers a very similar sound profile with a highly detailed sound profile but at a much more accessible price point. It’s often praised for its smooth top end and low handling noise, making it a great alternative for singers or engineers who want high-end vocal performance without breaking the bank.

The mic is in great condition with only light cosmetic wear from normal use. Functionally, it’s rock solid. I’m including a compatible mic clip so it’s ready to mount right out of the box.
