Hi — I realize the inordinate amount of scam headphones of this model going around, and bought a pair that sounded NOTHING like the originals I had heard. So, I personally had to approach AKG parts dept. to order factory drivers that they install in the K701’s, as well as swap the drivers out myself. After the swap, they sounded very close to identical to the originals, though lacked the comfortability of the ear pads I remember. I finished the modification with Dekoni Elite Velour ear pads (as you’ll notice they only come in black). This is for anyone who wants an OEM mod to the newer, Chinese manufactured version of this headphone, and I will include all original packaging, the original ear pads, as well as the original drivers they came with. Please message with any questions or concerns
