Up for grabs is ONE new old stock very near A+ Epiphone ACPNHZCN-4 Alnico Classic Pro NECK, ZEBRA Humbucker, Solder Connection, 4 conductor, Alnico V (evenly wound), wax potted + screws & springs & wiring diagram. From 2023. Fully functional 7.75k

NECK Spacing:

• 50mm pole spacing (which is just under 2 inches). SEE pictures # 7 and # 8

The creme color is a creme-ish yellow color as see in picture # 7. But in the other pictures -the creme color looks more off white or a dull creme-ish yellow color (this is because of the lighting and / or because of the camera's flash.

NOTE: the cloudy specks, very short cloudy lines, and surface cloudiness on Top Side (creme / black areas) of pickup are from wax that I did not wipe off. And some of the surface cloudiness is from the thin 1/2 clear - 1/2 graphic plastic protective covering that was on this pickup before I took it off to take the pictures (you see this thin plastic covering in pictures # 1 and # 3). I didn't want clean the top side of the pickup too much - wanted to avoid scratching the top side. After I took the pictures - I put the thin plastic protective covering back on.

This model pickup is part of Epiphone's Pro Series Line of Humbuckers (the SERIES is called ProBUCKER).

Epiphone Alnico Classic Pro Pickups use Alnico V magnets and are evenly wound. They are similar (NOT EXACTLY the SAME) to the Gibson ’57 Classic humbuckers (NOT part of this listing), but are a little brighter due to the Alnico V magnet. 

• NOTE: the top side of the pickup has a thin plastic protective covering (that you can easily peel off) that is clear with a graphic covering 1/2 of this plastic covering. The under-side of this pickup has three lablels (two are not that important) and the one in the center has the model # of this pickup: ACPNHZCN-4.

The pickup that I have for sale has an Epiphone Alnico Classic Pro. The under-side of the pickup has a label that says ACPNHZCN-4.

ACPNHZCN-4 is the model number (it is NOT a serial number).

• ACP = Alnico Classic Pro
• Z means Zebra
• N means Neck position
• 4 since this is a 4 conductor pickup - I think it means 4 conductor (I might be right / I might be wrong)
• I don't know what the other letters mean

NOTE: There is some confusion about some model Epiphone pickups (in general) and there is confusion as to what model Gibson pickup they are similar to (or that they are trying to replicate or almost replicate with Epiphone standards). Here I'm mostly focusing of the Epiphone's line of "Pro" pickups.

I was planning to list this NECK pickup sooner - became busy - now I finally have a chance to list it. This Alnico Classic Pro NECK pickup came off of a new Epi LP (forgot which model). No longer have the guitar.

TOP SIDE.

• As I stated neat the start of the description -
• Most areas are very clean. But the top side has some wax spots and wax surface cloudiness that I did not wipe off because I did not want to accidentally scratch the pickup. And some of the surface cloudiness is from the thin 1/2 clear - 1/2 graphic plastic protective covering that was on this pickup before I took it off to take the pictures (you see it in pictures # 1, 3, and # 9.
• You can see some of this wax in pictures # 4 and in a few of the other pictures. But in most of the pictures you can't see the wax.
• And the center areas near the pole screws and pole slugs - there are very light very short dash hair-line scratches (from you the way that the pickup was manufactured). Almost al of these scratches are not visible in the pictures - but they can be seen in person.
• In most of the pictures - you don't see the imperfections that just mentioned. Not counting the surface wax - even in person - the light short scratches do not really stand out unless you look at the pup up close.

The Left & Right METAL Mounting TABS have some surface wax.

BOTTOM SIDE.

• Mostly very clean. It has a thin layer of surface wax. This surface wax has some tiny surface nicks and a few very light very short dash scratches.

WIRE(s):

• The main wire and the thin wires are fine.
• NOTE: It originally HAD a 5 hole Quick Connect end. That end was CUT off - it is NOT included. there were two reasons that I cut it off 1) because some people might need that part and 2) some people might want to install this pickup doing a solder connection)

The Quick Connect End is NOT part of this listing. I have the Quick Connect End listed in a separate REVERB listing. Here's the link for it:

In case you want to / need to pull the main gray insulation & shielding down more - I left the loose part still on. If the length of the thin individual wires are fine - you can just snip off this loose gray piece + shielding.

• LEAD WIRE - Full Length -- to end of bare ends of thin individual wires: about 11 and 1/2 inches
• Length of main lead to the ends of the colored areas of thin individual wires : about 11 and 1/4 inches
• Length of the Gray part of the main Lead Wire (gray part before the thin colored wires) 10 and 1/4 inches

The screws & springs are fine. (they are new)

Works fine - full strength.

7.75k is the multi-meter reading that I got on June 12, 2025. Room temp was about 68 °F. Remember that room temperature affects the multi-meter reading - so this reading fluctuates a little bit.

Do the following to get the multimeter reading:

• tie (twist) green and white wires of the pickup together (but you do not need them to touch the multimeter. These wires are already twisted together (if necessary - you can untwist them)
• tie (twist) black and bare wires - these are the GROUND wires [multi-meter black to black & bare (ground) wires of the pickup]. These wires are already twisted together (if necessary - you can untwist them)
• red is by itself - this is the HOT wire [multi-meter red to red (hot) wire of the pickup]
• select 20k ohms (or 200k ohms to get a less detailed reading).
• As I stated above - I'll leave the wires twisted together.

I took several pictures of the pickup and there are a few pictures that show the screws & springs. And the first picture shows the wiring diagram.

NOTE:  There may be some not too serious imperfections that I overlooked. There are a couple imperfections that can be see in person that are not visible in the pictures (or that look a little different in person than they do in the pictures).  And - there are a few glares that show up in the pictures that aren't visible in person .
