Now known as an "oil can delay," this delay unit consisted of a tuna-can-shaped drum filled with oil, driven by a rotating belt, and a special disk onto which the audio signal "charge" was written and read by a rubber wiper "head."
The playback speed was directly linked to the speed of the drums, and the oil acted as a protective layer to hold the signal's electron "charge," creating a unique echo effect that also contained elements of vibrato and slapback delay.
The 3 Series Oil Can Delay is a simple and faithful homage to this classic unit.

The JHS Pedals 3 Series is a collection designed to deliver high-performance, simple-to-use pedals without sacrificing quality. They are manufactured in our Kansas City, Missouri, factory using high-quality parts and with meticulous attention to detail.
