For your consideration, a true modern rarity: A Fender MIJ Art Canvas Esquire featuring "Tama River" by Katsushika Hokusai.

Tama River by Hokusai is part of the Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji, a woodblock print series by the legendary Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai. Created in the early 1830s, the series celebrates different perspectives of Mt. Fuji, blending everyday life with majestic landscapes.

In Tama River, Hokusai captures a peaceful scene along the river, using delicate color and composition to contrast flowing water with the imposing serenity of Fuji in the distance. Like many in the series, it reflects the harmony between nature, people, and the spiritual significance of the mountain in Japanese culture.

In order to receive one of these beauties, one had to enter a lottery, wait 3 months to get drawn, show up in person at the Fender Japan Flagship store, pay for the guitar, then wait 3 months for the artist to deliver. Then once again they would have to pick up the guitar in Tokyo at the Fender Flagship store- a true process.
