A rare find stateside! These are known for excellent quality and awesome tone, and this one doesn’t disappoint. The wood-covered Xotic pickups can go anywhere from round and slappy to jangly and vintage-esq. This one is extra cool with the attractive dark cherry finish and matching headstock.
The controls feature a master volume, tone, blend, as well as a 3 band EQ and active/passive switch. The preamp in this example has been upgraded to an 18v Aguliar unit, which sounds tremendous.
The bass plays very nicely with low string height setup to be slappable. The electronics work as they should, and the bass is in good overall shape with some signs of use, as this one was a professionally owned and stage used instrument. This includes scratches and scuffs along the edges and a few miscellaneous dings. It presents nicely on a stand, and overall would make an awesome gigging bass.
Will ship in an aftermarket gigbag.
