Martin 000-42 Overview

The Martin 000-42 builds on the balanced, articulate foundation of the 000 platform while adding a higher level of detail in both tone and appointments. Its 000-14 fret body size delivers a clear, even response across the strings, making it well-suited for fingerstyle and dynamic strumming. With a solid spruce top and East Indian rosewood back and sides, it offers a wide tonal range with strong low-end support, detailed mids, and clear trebles.

As part of the updated 2025 Standard Series, this model features GE-scalloped bracing that enhances resonance and sustain while maintaining responsiveness. The GE Modified Low Oval neck with high-performance taper and 24.9" scale length provides a comfortable and precise playing experience. Abalone trim throughout, including top inlay, rosette, and fingerboard snowflake inlays, gives the 000-42 a refined visual identity without changing its core performance.
