Selling my 2012 custom National Baritone Tricone, style 1 solid brass, 13 frets to the body.
It's 'custom' because I paid the National folks extra to build it with a non-slotted peghead — which I find preferable for ease of stringing.
I ordered it through Buffalo Brothers in Carlsbad CA, back when that fantastic store was still in business. It arrived in a good TKL case on 20 February 2012.
The guitar is quite heavy, as one would expect from a solid brass tricone. It weighs in at 9.4 lbs. Don't drop it on your bare foot. The nut width is 1&28/32".
I used the guitar primarily for slide, hardly ever anything else. I ended up not playing it very often, so there is absolutely minimum fret wear — nothing that you can feel, anyway. The truss rod has never needed adjustment.
On the top left side of the back there are some very mild abrasions to the polished brass -- probably from my shirt or jacket. They are really hard to photograph, but I tried. (see next to last photo)
The label inside the instrument (see photo) says "Serial No. 208", but the paperwork I received with it from National says "Production Number 208" and "Serial Number 17612".
Recommended string gauges are .016, .018, .030, .042, .053, .064, which are what's on it. It has that lovely deep growl that only a brass baritone tricone can make.

Not looking for any trades right now; I am thinning the herd. New National Baritone Tricones Style 1 are now about $6K, I believe. This one will go for $3200 plus $150 shipping. All questions welcome.
