Bacchus Japan Tune-up Series

All JT series instruments are tuned up and set up in a specialized division in Matsumoto, Nagano, Japan, with the idea that players can start using them right away. Inheriting the spirit of the Handmade Series, Bacchus' top-of-the-line line that began in 2001, the Handmade Series provides players with instruments that they can entrust their bodies to with confidence and produce the best performance.

TACTICS24” x Spalted Maple

The “TACTICS24” model, the first in the JT series, uses spotted maple, known as an exotic wood, for the body top. Spalted” is a term used to describe wood that has developed a characteristic pattern as a result of decay caused by bacteria in nature. Often used for decorative purposes in crafts, spalted wood has a different feel from the more common flamed and quilted woods.

An open-pore finish is used, in which the conduits of the wood are not intentionally filled in and an extremely thin coating is applied, leaving as much of the wood's texture and grain as possible.

Heel Cut and Back Contour

The heel-cut construction, which eliminates the neck plate, realizes high playability at high frets. The contoured back of the body also makes playing for long hours stress-free.

24 Frets & Stainless Steel Fretboard

24-fret specification with wear-resistant stainless steel frets. Jumbo size frets are used for smooth string pressing and extended sustain.

Locking pegs

Locking Tuner (Locking Pegs) are equipped with a mechanism whereby turning the wheel on the back of the pegs raises the rod in the string post and locks it by clamping the strings. By reducing the number of windings on the string post, tuning stability is dramatically improved.

Since the mechanism clamps the strings, there is no need to wind more strings, which also has the advantage of shortening the time required for string changes and reducing tension fluctuations.

Roasted Maple Neck with Increased Rigidity

The new Bacchus standard, the popular lowered maple neck, is also used on this model. The heat treatment makes the neck highly rigid and resistant to warping, and it also produces a dry sound with good rise.

Coil Tap Function & 2-Stud Tremolo Unit

In addition to a coil-tap function that produces a pseudo single-coil tone by switching a mini-switch, a Wilkinson® 2-stud tremolo unit that enables smooth arming comes standard.
