Here we have one of my favorite Fender Strats, she's a 1st year, 2008 MIM, 60's Road-Worn in 3-tone Sunburst. These were fantastic, comfortable and visually striking models that allowed folks on a budget to get that relic look without going up to Custom shop prices. This one I took even further and features a Fender USA Custom shop, loaded pickguard, featuring Fat-60 pickups, (hand wound by Loretta Diaz) and a bevy of Fender branded capacitors. An aged anodized, gold pickguard and tremolo cover plate go with the Sunburst nitro finish beautifully. ( I should add that the flash on my camera added a little too much red in the pics.) I added last 5 pics of her out in the sun, to try to and get rid of some of the red tones that my indoor flash was making. A deluxe Fender G&G Custom Shop case is included. I thought the guitar deserved Fender's top of the line case to compliment the Custom Shop loaded guard. These early Road Worn models are getting harder to find now, and with the hand-wound Custom Shop loaded guard and premium case, makes it even more desirable. She weighs in at about 8lbs. So, in conclusion.... if you don't mind a mash-up of Fender MIM and USA Custom Shop parts combined, this will be a very nice, top notch Stratocaster for someone's collection.
