The Mesa Boogie California Tweed 6V6 4:40 Head is a purist all-tube amplifier for electric guitar that is all about the classic American vintage sound. Accordingly, the single-channel preamp delivers crystal-clear clean sounds with maximum headroom or creamy overdrive, depending on the selected input and setting of the gain and master controls. With the help of the traditional 3-band tone control and the presence control, the tone of the Mesa Boogie California Tweed 6V6 4:40 Head can be precisely adjusted. In addition, the electric guitar amplifier offers a tube-driven spring reverb effect and a serial loop-in path for external effect devices. The multi-watt power amplifier, which is based on four 6V6 tubes, also offers five power levels between 2 watts and 40 watts, meaning that the Mesa Boogie California Tweed 6V6 4:40 Head can be used on stage as well as in the recording studio or at home without any problems.
