D’Addario’s XSE0942 coated electric strings are built for players who want the slinky, effortless feel of super‑lights with a noticeably longer‑lasting tone. The XSE coating is ultra‑thin and engineered to stay out of the way, preserving the natural brightness and snap of nickel‑wound strings while protecting them from sweat, humidity, and corrosion. Lead players get smooth bends, fast response, and a crisp top end that stays lively far longer than traditional uncoated 9s.

Across Greenwood and the Upstate South Carolina music scene, guitarists deal with real‑world conditions—long practice nights, outdoor gigs, and plenty of humidity. XSE strings thrive in that environment, maintaining tuning stability and clarity even after heavy weekly use. Whether you’re recording in an Upstate studio, playing shows around the Lakelands, or dialing in your home rig, the XSE0942 set delivers reliable performance with a clean, modern feel.

At Newell’s Music in Greenwood, SC, we stock XSE because they offer a noticeable upgrade in longevity without sacrificing the natural touch players expect from D’Addario. Electric players who want super‑light tension with extended life and consistent tone often choose this set as their everyday go‑to. Every pack is inspected before it goes on the wall, and our team is always ready to help you match the perfect gauge and construction to your guitar and playing style.
