Yamaha's YAS-82ZII Custom Series alto saxophone represents the pinnacle of professional saxophone design. It is the definitive evolution of the jazz standard, born from Yamaha's collaboration with esteemed jazz saxophonists to deliver an instrument that meets the demands of the highest-level musicians. With its free and open tone, lightning-fast key action, and stunning engraved design, the YAS-82ZII empowers artists to achieve their creative vision.

The YAS-82ZII produces a tone with warmth, depth, and complexity that lends itself to subtle nuance and shading. Its large bell and redesigned neck offer a free-blowing feel with a broad range of timbres, from a robust lower register to a singing upper register. The tone is versatile yet remains distinctly "Yamaha"—focused, colorful, and highly responsive.

Yamaha has redesigned the YAS-82ZII with ergonomic keywork for a natural feel. Its lightweight keys have been balanced for quick, precise movement, while durable steel springs ensure a light, even action throughout the full range of the instrument. The redesigned bell keys in particular feature a lighter touch and snappier response.

As with all Yamaha woodwinds, the YAS-82ZII is crafted with precision and subjected to rigorous quality control standards. Its neck, body, and keys are made from the highest quality materials and assembled carefully for consistent excellence from instrument to instrument. You can rely on your YAS-82ZII to deliver peak performance year after year, advancing with you through every stage of your development as an artist.

The YAS-82ZII includes a molded ABS plastic case to properly protect your investment. Its hard-shell exterior and plush interior lining shield the instrument from damage, while strategically placed handles and straps make transporting your YAS-82ZII safe, secure, and convenient.
