This is the model 173 by „Höfner“. Höfner is a german luthier, who produced many kinds of instruments during the golden age of german guitarmaking between the 50s and the 80s. Höfner was known worldwide for their extraordinary quality and their traditional long tradition in making instruments. This was the reason, why many musicians, like Paul McCartney for example, swore on Höfner gutiars and played them through their carrer.

This is a special version oft he 173 model, as it has the Brokat vinyl finish. This is quite a rare version oft he guitar and not many where made. It was part of an artist series made for the 173, 176, 175 and 185 model and was available in red-gold and black-gold. And this one is in amazing condition as well!

The guitar is in incredible condition with little wear, all of wich can be seen in the picutres. The electronics are fully functioning, the switches and potis work perfectly and the pickups produce a nice and distinctive vintage sound, perfect for the music of the 60s and 70s. The neck is straight and the action is low, therefore it is comfortable to play. The frets where polished, the fretboard was oiled and the strings are new too!
