Thanks to the elaborate neck-through construction and the proven RG design, the RGT1270PB guitar offers a powerful sound and excellent playing characteristics. The heart of the electric guitar is undoubtedly the full-length, seven-piece neck made of maple and walnut, whose flat "Wizard III profile" creates the best conditions for buttery-smooth playability. In the ebony fingerboard, jumbo stainless steel frets also promise buttery smooth bendings, while large block inlays and fluorescent side dots mark the layers. Last but not least, the body wings made of basswood and burl poplar provide the dignified look of the RGT electric guitar.

As pickup for the RGT1270 guitar Ibanez chooses a HSH setup from DiMarzio, which elicits a wide range of sounds for rock and metal from the guitar amp in combination with the classic 5-way circuit. The DiMarzio Air Norton humbucker in neck position delivers a deep and warm sound with the perfect amount of transparency for glassy cleans and singing overdrive. At the bridge, the DiMarzio The Tone Zone pickup provides a juicy distortion sound that can be shaped by the playing style thanks to its dynamic response. Last but not least, the True Velvet single-coil in the middle position contributes velvety tones with a bell-like response.

The bridge on the Premium RGT1270PB-DTF Deep Twilight Flat electric guitar from Ibanez is naturally an Edge tremolo. Due to the double-locking construction, the system impresses not only with butter-smooth handling but also with enormous tuning stability, even after the heaviest dive-bombs and squeals. On the 6-in-line headstock in the unmistakable Ibanez design, Gotoh tuners also ensure an exact tuning of the guitar.
