Marked by its distinctive pointed horns, growling pickups, and exceptional playability, the Gibson SG has long been the favorite of rock and blues guitarists worldwide. Now, players can experience the magic of this incredible guitar all over again with the Gibson SG Standard - a '60s-inspired masterpiece born for fast, hard riffing. With its rich, snarling tone and timeless aesthetic, the SG Standard is excellent for musicians seeking a top-notch guitar that flawlessly captures the rebellious spirit of '60s rock 'n' roll.
Crafted with a solid mahogany body, the SG Standard projects that classic Gibson sound with deep, resonant lows, a pronounced midrange, and tons of sustain. But it doesn't end there - its long tenon neck joint further enhances sustain and stability, while its Tune-O-Matic bridge offers rock-solid intonation. And, thanks to its rounded mahogany neck and bound rosewood fingerboard, this SG plays just like a '60s-era Gibson.
Driving this guitar is a pair of 490R and 490T Alnico II humbuckers, a dynamic duo that provides the perfect blend of body and bite. The neck pickup is warm, articulate, and sweet, while the bridge pickup slings bright, punchy tones that cut like a hot knife through butter. Simply put, these pickups were built for rock 'n' roll.
Adorned with a full-face pickguard, acrylic trapezoid inlays, and Grover Rotomatic tuners, the Gibson SG Standard is a rockin' guitar that exudes old-school charm from top to bottom. Reach out today for more information about this awesome vintage-inspired Gibson!
