The Ibanez Joe Satriani JS2GD Gold convinces as Signature guitar of the accomplished New Yorker guitar genius not only with excellent playing characteristics and outstanding rock sounds, but also with a sensational gold finish that makes the electric guitar an impressive eye-catcher on any stage. While the streamlined alder body and slim maple JS neck promise extremely smooth playing characteristics, DiMarzio FRED and Satch Track pickup provide amazingly diverse guitar tones. As an instrument for accomplished technicians, the Joe Satriani JS2GD from Ibanez naturally comes with an Edge Double-Locking Tremolo for detuning-free whammy bar action.

A Joe Satriani Signature guitar, the Ibanez JS2GD features carefully crafted tonewoods and excellent playing characteristics that go a long way toward accommodating even the most accomplished playing techniques of modern rock and metal. Beneath the shiny gold Finish, the JS2 electric guitar hides an alder body whose ergonomic design promises hassle-free handling with a balanced feel both on the strap and on the thigh. Thanks to the slim JS profile, the bolt-on maple neck fits comfortably in the hand, so that every solo and riff succeeds with ease on the 22-fret rosewood fingerboard.

With its flexible pickup setup and sophisticated circuitry, the Ibanez JS2GD elicits a wide variety of tones from the guitar amp for virtuoso rock solos, thrusting riffs and clean picking. The characteristic midrange spectrum and the incredibly sensitive dynamics of the DiMarzio FRED bridge humbucker create the basis for particularly assertive distortion sounds that can be shaped via the attack. In the mid and neck positions, on the other hand, DiMarzio Satch Track Blade pickups blur the line between humbucker and single coil, delivering fast-responding sounds with well-measured brilliance and a vocally articulate character. The sophisticated passive electrics of the Ibanez JS2 electric guitar rely on three individual on/off switches, which can be used to recall the pickups individually or in free combination. There is also the option to split the bridge pickup into a brilliant single coil by pulling the Tone knob, while the Push/Pull switch in the Volume knob activates a high-pass filter that helps give the sound increased definition.

Of course, Ibanez completes the Joe Satriani JS2GD Gold Signature guitar with top-class attachments that easily meet even professional demands for functionality and reliability. Due to the double-locking construction with clamp saddle, the well-known Ibanez Edge tremolo guarantees reliable tuning stability, even if the Ultralite Tremolo arm made of carbon is often used for advanced playing techniques such as dive bombs or squeals. On the headstock in typical Ibanez Style Gotoh tuners also promise high precision when tuning the electric guitar.
