Radial BT-Pro V2: Wireless Bluetooth Audio Into a Professional Sound System

The Radial BT-Pro V2 is a stereo Bluetooth direct box, a receiver that pairs wirelessly with a phone, tablet, or laptop and delivers the audio to a PA through a pair of balanced XLR outputs. It bridges the gap between the consumer Bluetooth world and professional balanced audio, taking a wireless stream over the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol and turning it into the low-impedance, hum-free signal a mixing console expects. For the AV tech, house of worship, or installer who is tired of hunting through a drawer of adaptor cables every time someone needs to play audio from a phone, the BT-Pro V2 makes that connection wireless, reliable, and pro-grade.

Why a Phone Does Not Belong on a Direct Cable to the PA

Plugging a phone or tablet straight into a mixer means a fragile 3.5 mm adaptor, an unbalanced cable that picks up hum on any run longer than a few feet, and a presenter tethered to the console. Consumer devices also share ground with chargers and screens, so a direct connection often drags a ground-loop buzz into the house system. The BT-Pro V2 cuts the cable entirely: the device streams over Bluetooth while the receiver sits at the console, delivering balanced audio with clean isolation from the mess of consumer grounding.

Bluetooth 5.0 Reception With Real Range

The BT-Pro V2 receives over the Bluetooth 5.0 protocol, which delivers stable, high-quality audio at a working range of up to 100 feet, or 30 meters. That range comes in part from a plastic injection-molded insert in the otherwise all-steel chassis, a window that lets the wireless signal pass through unimpeded rather than being shielded by the metal housing. A presenter can leave a laptop at the podium and walk the room, or a performer can move freely across the stage, and the audio keeps flowing into the PA without a dropout.

48V Phantom Power and Flexible Output Levels

For live-sound simplicity, the BT-Pro V2 can be powered by 48-volt phantom straight from the mixing console, which means it needs nothing but the same XLR cables that carry its audio. Run it on phantom and it delivers mic-level signals at the XLR outputs; connect the included external supply instead and it generates line-level output that plugs into a console's line inputs and frees up mic channels. Many installers run both, using the external supply as the primary feed and phantom power as an automatic redundant backup so the audio never drops.

Unique Device IDs for Multi-Room Installs

Every BT-Pro V2 carries its own unique Bluetooth identifier, shown as a six-digit code such as BT-Pro-100001 in a device's list of available connections. In a commercial building with receivers in several rooms, that means a user always knows which unit they are connecting to, so someone pairing in one conference room never accidentally streams into the room next door. An installer simply notes the ID posted in each room, and a facility can run any number of BT-Pro units side by side without confusion.

Stereo, Mono, and a Headphone Check

Dual balanced XLR outputs carry the left and right channels of the stream, and a front-panel level control sets the exact send into the console. When a full stereo pair is more than the situation needs, a mono sum switch collapses both channels to a single feed and saves a console channel. A 3.5 mm headphone output lets the operator listen to the incoming wireless signal and confirm the pairing is live and clean before the audio ever reaches the main speakers.

Who the BT-Pro V2 Is For

The BT-Pro V2 is for the AV integrator wiring conference rooms and multi-purpose spaces that need reliable wireless audio; for the house of worship or presenter who plays walk-in music, video audio, and backing tracks from a phone or laptop; and for the live-sound engineer who wants a rugged, phantom-powered way to get a guest's device onto the PA in seconds. If you need Bluetooth audio to sound as clean and connect as reliably as everything else in a professional rack, the BT-Pro V2 is the direct box that delivers it.
