Here is a rare original Italian made Vox Phantom VI! This one does not have a serial number on the plate where you normally see it but has "23.391" on the headstock. None of the parts are dateable, but Vox only made these from 1963-1967 and it's definitely from the original run. The nut is 1.62" wide, the neck measures 0.86" thick at the 1st fret and 1.03" thick at the 12th fret. The neck has a "C" shape and the fretboard radius is about 9.5" on the lower frets and 12" on the higher ones. It is 100% original and the actual weight is 6 lbs 12 oz.

The body is in excellent condition overall with some small nicks around the edges, but no major dings or scratches. No cracks, modifications or structural issues. There are two round impressions on the top (lower corners) about the size of a dime that are visible in the light. I don't know for sure what caused these, but I would guess that there were imperfections in the wood that were filled in when it was made. Time has caused them to sink in slightly and now they're visible, but they're not very noticeable unless you're looking for them. I black-lighted it and the finish glows that vintage nitro green, so I don't think it's been modified since it left the factory.

The neck is straight and the frets show average wear. The lower ones have definitely been filed down and the first four are a little sharp on the treble edge, so you'll probably want to have them worked on or have it re-fretted. It's in very good playing condition with no major issues despite that. The fretboard is clean but there is some damage to the fretboard on frets 2-4. Like the frets, they are not causing major issues now but you'll probably want to have it worked on to prevent future problems. There are no cracks and it just looks like some of it has flaked off. The headstock and back of the neck no dings or No cracks, repairs or extra holes.

The hardware and electronics are original and in excellent working condition. The pickups measure 5.48 Ω (Bridge), 5.53 Ω (Middle) and 5.50 Ω (Neck). The pickguard has shrunk and the two corners on the top have broken off but are included in the case. It also comes with the original paperwork! The strings were removed for some of the photos but the guitar will ship with a set of strings on it.

Please note that I do not set up my guitars before mailing. I have played it and everything is great as far as I'm concerned, but you may need to change the strings, adjust the action or do other maintenance to get it to your preferences.

I list some of my items on both eBay and Reverb. In the event that this item sells on both marketplaces before I can take the other listing down, I will honor the first sale and refund the second. There will be no exceptions to this!

TRADES: I am a dealer and am not looking for any more gear for myself. I may not be able to offer much credit for a trade since I'm buying to re-sell. With that said, I would only consider in-person trades due to shipping costs and taxes.

OFFERS: I price my guitars as low as possible and don't consider offers, so please do not ask for a lower price!
