1890-1900’s PARLOR GUITAR

This is a beautiful sounding early 1900’s ladder braced parlor guitar. The Brazilian rosewood gives it long "bell like" sustain. This parlor has been expertly restored by luthier Steve Chipman of VintageParlorGuitars.com, Chester,Vermont.

It features an Adirondack spruce top,Brazilian rosewood back and sides, ebony fretboard, and a mahogany neck. The top and sound hole are bound with a unique marquetry “rope binding”.

This guitar has received all of the maintenance and repair due a guitar over 100 years old; this includes a neck reset, new ebony fretboard, new frets, new handmade rosewood bridge, new bone compensated saddle and bone nut, with the addition of new ”Gotoh" open gear tuning keys being installed. The guitar has also had a thin (hand rubbed) French polish finish applied. All cracks have been repaired and stabilized as needed. This is a wonderful little guitar that any acoustic player will be proud to own and play. There are no identifying labels or markings, however, this parlor has a strong resemblance to the Bauer Guitar Co. brand.

TKL case included.
