Serial No.20431001, includes original case with Gibson polish cloth & truss rod wrench. Weighs 7lbs 15oz.This stunning 2+ decades old Wes Montgomery appears unplayed. At some point the original owner had a Pete Biltlof Charlie Christian pickup professionally installed, and it sounds wonderful. The installation is well done and it looks factory, or perhaps even nicer. The setup is fine & we just installed new flatwound 12's. This is a truly incredible L5 Wes Montgomery.....or perhaps a "Wes Christian" collector's instrument that you will enjoy very much. (Charlie Montgomery??....)Considering the price of L-5's these days, this magnificent custom shop instrument is a genuine bargain that will no doubt appreciate in value. Just imagine asking Gibson to make you one! The nut width is 1-11/16ths. We do not have the Custom Shop certificate, but we are promised by the seller that they will try to get it to us. No guarantee of course.
