This listing is for the Mountainking Electronics Behemoth II pedal.

NEW! Along with it's new look the Behemoth II has a new and improved circuit! It now has more headroom to allow more cleanish boost and a punchier, more dynamic attack. CLIPPING VOICE 1 has a less overloaded breakup giving it an even more tube like tone! Last but definitely not least there is an added internal DIP switch on the circuit board that allows you to boost the gain for a hotter, more saturated clipping. These changes do not change the overall character or function of the Behemoth II they just enhance and fine tune it's already amazing heaviosity!

The Mountainking Electronics Behemoth II is must for any electric bass player. At low gain settings it takes your basses sound and adds power, presence and that slightly pushed tube amp dirt to it without destroying basses sound. At higher gain settings it delivers warm, organic 70s bass tube amp overdrive made famous by electric bass guitar pioneers such as Jack Bruce, Tim Bogart, Mel Schacher and Geezer Butler, to name a few. And those of you who are looking for something a bit more on the extreme you can push the DRIVE on the CLIPPING VOICE 3 setting and get some unique fuzz flavoring with a dual type of effect with a strong solid fundamental mixed with the hairier harmonics. The Behemoth II, how ever you use it, will take your tone and enhance it with a nice amount of shaping available via the controls. Many Behemoth II owners have told me that they leave their Behemoth II on all the time as their "make better" pedal, using it like an extension of their amp, like a preamp, which was the original concept for the pedal. Did I mention that it not only retains all of the low end that goes into it, but in fact adds body and weight to that low end? Well, I did now!

Like many Mountainking pedals, the Behemoth II can be powered at 18V DC. This will give you more output, more dynamic range and more articulation to your tone. Check out the video linked below for a Behemoth II episode of "If 9 were 18" on the Mountainking Electronics Youtube channel.

NOTE: The new color/finish for the Behemoth II is a light gray rippled powder coat, the photo looks off white on some screens.
