Up for your consideration is that once in a lifetime peace. This guitar has been with 2 owners. I purchased it from the original owner since 1972. The original owner is Vincent Romano of PopTronix. Vincent explained to me that there is a signature on the left shoulder of this guitar that is belonging to John Lennon on the guitar. Vincent had met John with Harry Nilsson in NY central park during the march of dimes fundraiser in 1974 in NYC lost weekend. Vincent had been gigging in the area so he happened to have the opportunity to gig for the two as they were passing through the bars inebriated. Vincent said that he had ordered Harry and John a beer - but they did not drink it. On the way out John signed the guitar as a thank you for the gesture and had strummed it a couple times then complimented it’s beauty. This is a very high-end model so for a signature to be on it is a statement on its own.Since there’s no formal documentation of this meeting - I argued to him that he cannot justify charging for a signature without authentication. So he sold me the guitar without including the price of the signature. I felt that he was speaking genuine in his story - but to avoid a skeptic, so I will list this as non-authentic John Lennon signature. I’ve kept it on it because it’s nice to look at and well, who knows. Just know when you’re buying this - you’re buying the guitar itself and I’m not selling the John Lennon signature for profit. I don’t think that would be fair. That being said, for the Guitar condition itself it is overall good. The sound is what you would expect from flagship model of its time. With a proper neck set up it will play like a dream. It sounds amazing with cowboy chords. Crystal clear sound. Hands down best guitar I’ve ever heard. I’ve always kept it in a glass case with humidity control. It does have cracks underneath the finish but they are stable and nothing to worry about since I believe it has been reinforced. This guitar comes with its original pink lined case. The orignal owner let me know he bought the guitar in Sam ash in 1972 at one of their first locations in New York.
If you’re looking for a guitar with mojo this is it. Please look at the pictures to see the condition is overall very good but it has cracks. It will probably need a neck reset and some fret work.
