D’Addario’s NYXL0942 Super Light set is built for players who want maximum flexibility with a stronger, more stable feel than traditional 9s. NYXL strings use a high‑carbon steel core that improves tuning stability, enhances bend strength, and delivers a punchy, modern tone that cuts through a mix. The nickel‑wound wrap adds clarity and brightness, giving lead players fast response and a lively top end without feeling overly stiff.

Across Greenwood and the Upstate South Carolina music scene, guitarists appreciate strings that stay in tune through humidity, long practice nights, and frequent gigging. NYXLs are known for holding pitch better than standard electric sets, making them a favorite for players who bend aggressively or rely on precise intonation. Whether you’re recording in an Upstate studio, playing shows around the Lakelands, or dialing in your home rig, the NYXL0942 set delivers consistency you can trust.

At Newell’s Music in Greenwood, SC, we stock NYXLs because they offer a noticeable upgrade in stability and longevity compared to typical super‑light strings. Players who want slinky feel without sacrificing tuning reliability often choose this set as their go‑to. Every pack is inspected before it goes on the wall, and our team is always ready to help you match the perfect gauge and string construction to your guitar and playing style.
