Ever
notice how companies like Fender and Gibson are always labeling their
guitars as "reissue" this or "59" "VOS" that? It's because they are so
far removed from the original thought behind these great guitars that
they chase their own tails and past build success. G&L was started
by Leo Fender well after Fender was sold to the CBS TV folks. Perhaps it
had something to do with the Fender Broadcaster tele -maybe CBS
thought.... ah oh well, you get the idea. This is the evolution of the
strat from the original genius himself and not todays (fender small "f"
copy) ABOUT THIS GREAT GUITAR Beautiful
Custom G&L in Transparent Blue. IMO Custom G&Ls out perform
anything coming out of Fender production or custom shops. This guitar
is a loaded one of a kind Custom with beautiful transparent blueburst
finish, natural body binding and 1-piece swamp ash body. Beautiful
quartersawn maple neck with ebony fretboard and MJ frets. The neck is
satin finished for very fast and comfortable play. The pickups are
G&L MFDs for exceptional classic strat tone. There is plenty
of punch in the MFDs but what’s surprising is how glassy and detailed
they become as you roll back the volume and bass controls, the latter a
part of the S-500’s PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system which functions
on all three pickups. This guitar also includes a mini-toggle switch to
allow neck+bridg or all three pickups together. In a pinch, the
neck+bridge combo does a convincing Tele impression. Finally this great
guitar features
a Leo Fender-designed Saddle Lock Bridge which enhances sustain,
intonation and tuning stability. The guitar is in great shape 9/10
except for some light impressions in the finish see pics -purely cosmetic
and cannot be seen from the front at all!
FLIGHT CASE COA AND BUILD SHEET INCLUDED
FRETS ARE MINT, NECK IS MINT
You cannot touch a custom shop fender for what I am asking which is ironic considering no fender can touch this guitar in terms of performance tone quality and playability.
