Racked Pair of Calrec DL1656 VCA Compressor/Limiters

Selling a pair of rack-mounted Calrec DL1656 compressor/limiters. These are VCA devices pulled from Calrec consoles.  As I've noted in some of my other listings, my clientele has shifted largely to jazz, and I'm selling off some of the stuff that is a bit more geared to rock.
I racked these up in grad school about 13 years ago, and they've been rock solid.  I recently installed a newer, tidier power supply (pictured) to replace the tag-board original.  Figured I might as well dress 'em up a bit before selling!  At the time I did these, I racked a pair for F. Reid Shippen in Nashville.  If it makes you feel better, I'm now a tenured audio professor who specializes in audio electronics, and I do custom design and builds for a number of heavy hitters in the Nashville scene.

These modules were the "modern" IC-based BBC-spec replacements for earlier discrete transistor compressor/limiter modules like the 2264.  Controls and features are similar:

• Separate compressor/limiter sections.
• Fast/slow attack switch, adjustable release or "auto" release button.
  
• All control are continuously-variable pots; no rotary switches.
• Stereo linkable via the "L1" button.

If you look closely, you'll notice that the two units are different issues; the one on the left is a newer AMS/Calrec issue, but they sound identical.  I've been using them to track kick/snare and for drum bus duties during mix and they are sonically identical, at least in these applications. 

For stereo use, you must set both units identically, and engage the "L1" button on each.  You also have to turn each section "on" AND use the "in" button to engage each section.  Yeah, it's a little much.

Like most VCA compressors, these can be subtle or extremely aggressive.
Based on experience I'm going to guesstimate $50-$60 UPS shipping from NE Ohio to the west coast, fully insured.
