Burns London NAMM Prototype Sonic
If you search for a Burns London Sonic, you will find one...maybe even here on Reverb.
However, this is the only 3-pickup Sonic I've found...and it's #0001.
This is a prototype guitar for NAMM; note the "Tone" label inscribed on the pickguard by the input jack!
This has a push-pull Volume pot; I contacted Barry Gibson (owner of Burns London) back when I first picked this up, and he told me that it "brought in the neck pickup." That is true, but it also produces a nice boost when using only the neck pickup. Could it be the legendary "Wild Dog" circuit? Burns guitars were always on the bleeding edge of innovation, so buy it and make your own judgment; this is a three-pickup guitar w/ many tonal options.
This guitar features the Burns Rez-O-Tube through-body bridge, three Tri-Sonic pickups, and one of those great necks for which Burns, Hayman, and Shergold guitars are renown.
Two small dings pictured, as I bought it. Virtually no other play wear; neck is straight and action is low (currently strung .010-.046).
Non-original case.
If you want to stand out from the crowd, or just love the Burns tradition, this the guitar you've been seeking.
