(Pete Anderson) 1965 Fender Blackface Deluxe (Heavily Modded)

Hello, up for sale is Pete Anderson's #1, 1965 Fender Blackface Deluxe. You guys know this amp - this is Pete's heavily modded Deluxe that was used on all the early DY albums and tours. This amp is responsible for changing the sound of Country Music in the early 80's. 

The amp was retired from the road over 25 years ago, but still was in heavy rotation at our recording studio. I'm Pete's personal assistant/gear wrangler and have been working with him for over 18 years now. After much discussion, he's decided to part ways with the amp. He felt it should go to someone who's going to play it all the time. 

The Deluxe was modded by Jim Williams back in the early 80's. Bigger transformers we're put in, as were 6L6's and the much fabled "mid mod" - which was just re-setting the value of the midrange to the equivalent of being on "10". This is how achieved that "sound". The amp also features an effects loop and an original EV 12L speaker. 

FYI - the amp was serviced by Greg Leon and received a bill of good health last summer. 

This is the ultimate Country/Roots Rock/Americana amplifier. It served Pete quite well and is now looking for a new home. All you need now, a 59 Esquire, a echoplex and a Goodrich volume pedal. This is your chance to own the real deal and a great piece of Country music history.
