Okay! So I'm going to reiterate what I've been told and what I've known about these...
There's also a serial underneath of the battery compartment, and I verified this is definitely a transition model
Since I've had multiple Japanese Boss DS1s, I've seen the internal wiring, and this is supposed to be I get done a call. I guess this was made during a transitional period when they were still using the black labels but was moving the factory from Japan to Taiwan, according to the serial. So it's practically a Made in Japan, but the label says Made in Taiwan 😅
ALSO, because I know I'll get messages about this, the box is a newer box that I've had laying around, and I might as well give it to you. This is not the box that came with it, since it did not come with a box!!
