Gibson Les Paul Standard R0/G0
Serial: G0 5026
New video added of some noodling. I have my eye on another Gibson so I'm pricing this Les Paul to sell. Guitar Center's exclusive R0, the 1960 VOS Les Paul G0. The story goes that Guitar Center Hollywood had a 1960 Les Paul Standard they loved so much they commissioned Gibson's Custom Shop to replicate it for others to have a shot at owning this amazing ax. The R0 stamp is found in the control cavity confirming its legitimacy among all reissues. Picture of the stamp has been provided.
Hardware:
The comfortable 60's neck profile is the first on the list that separates this guitar from other reissues that usually sport the chunky 50's profile. The pickups have been swapped out for Seymour Duncan Slash Signature pickups. These pickups are the real deal. A bone nut has been added. The pots have also been upgraded to CTS 500k Super Pots allowing an even and gradual increase or decrease of the volume and tone controls. It is currently setup with 10's with a straight neck and clocks in at a reasonable 8.7 lbs. No deadspots or fret buzz and a low but not too low action.
Condition:
It's definitely a player in great condition. Ready to go straight to work in a studio, live performance, or just bedroom practice. It's got very minor edge wear and I've pictured the couple of dings it has but nothing to write home about. Used but definitely not abused, a solid 8/10. But most importantly, no cracks, breaks, or repairs to report. Its paperwork has been lost to the ages, but it comes with the red velvet lined Gibson Custom Shop OHSC and truss rod wrench. The frets have plenty of life left, the fretboard is clean, and the beautiful maple plaintop is in the best shape. Ready to bond with a new owner!
I can usually respond quickly so please feel free to leave a message.
Thanks!
