This is a 1960s Kay-made Custom Kraft archtop guitar, labeled for the St. Louis Music Company.

Measurements:
Upper bout: 11 1/2"
Waist: 9"
Lower bout: 15 1/2"
Scale: 26 1/4"
Action at the 12th fret: 7/64"

This guitar had a hillbilly neck reset done on it at some point - the previous owner epoxied the heel in place, but the neck angle wasn't quite as high as it should have been. This resulted in high action using the original maple bridge. There wasn't much I could do about that, since it's epoxy, but the neck angle wasn't terrible. I made and fitted a new fixed maple bridge to th top to give the proper action, and strung it up with 12s.

It's an all-birch ply guitar with the original pick guard and maple fretboard. There is some epoxy residue around the neck heel - I cleaned it up as much as I could, but you know what happens when someone tries epoxy for the firs time? Yup. Still plays well and has that archtop bark you expect. Guitar has some chips here and there and some scuffs, but is is pretty good shape considering. The end pin is missing and the previous owner replaced it with a tapered dowel. Tuners are original and they work great.

I'll get a sound sample up soon.
