So heres the story on this one. I got this amp several years ago. This amp was a kit Kendrick offered at one point to be purchased and then built. What I got was the finished chassis with no cabinet. This is a LOUD amp and extremely fun and versatile. It can take just about any tube combination you can throw at it which is great. Currently I have 6V6's in it. So far I think 6L6's are the best with this build. Just my opinion though. Ive had lots of fun swapping power tubes out and experimenting with all of the different possibilities (biasing along the way of course) Originally the stock amp didn't have master volumes and again this is a loud amp. You gotta push it to get it going. Shortly after I decided to go ahead and keep it I had master volumes added on both channels as well as a global master volume. I also had MOJOTONE build me a custom sized head-shell for it. Probably $500 or so in mods and head-shell. Also I do not currently have the reverb tank hooked up. Not something I ever really used. Tank functions you'll just need the RCA's to complete it. Please ask any and all questions you may have. This is a killer amp that will meet most classic rock needs. Check out the Kendrick site for complete build overview.
"This kit Rocks hard! If you want a world class tube amp kit that duplicates the four classic mothertones, this is it. If this amp were put into production, it would sell as a completed combo in the $5K and up range! There are two channels: American and British."
