This timeless instrument was custom built by John D’Angelico for jazz guitarist Bob Miranda in 1956.
Jim purchased this guitar from Bob’s family in 1997. This guitar was a D’Angelico custom order made to Bob’s personal specifications. He played this instrument with Jazz icons such as Tony Bennett, Nina Simone, and Vick Damone.
The Sunburst finish is in impeccable condition given the age of this instrument. Replacement pickguard was designed and installed by luthier John Monteleone. Everything else on the instrument is original.
This D’Angelico is currently setup with D’Addario XL Chromes 11-50 and a DeArmond pickup (cable inside case). Includes a recently-purchased, custom-fitted Calton hardshell case.
All of the proceeds from this instrument will go to The D’Addario Foundation to fund music education programs across the world.
