It plugs into the base, which has been converted into a preamp. Although the preamp was designed for the ExMic handset, you can plug guitar, bass or synth into it for boosting or tone shaping. The ExMic Deluxe is point-to-point hand wired, with no printed circuit board. Lead-free solder, and U.S.A. parts whenever possible. It operates on a standard Boss style 9vdc power supply (not included). It includes a mic clip for the handset that mounts on any standard mic stand. It includes a full-lifetime warranty.
