This is a beautiful instrument, both in appearance and in tone. I bought it new in Germany back in 2012 or so. Since then, they re-arranged their professional line and you'd likely pay almost $2000 for this model, if it weren't discontinued.
The guitar is listed in Excellent condition (not "mint") since the branding on the pick-guard is a little scuffed. Not much else is noticeably different from the day it was first purchased. The craftmanship, materials, and care that go into making an instrument like this are all evident: solid rosewood back, rosewood sides and sitka spruce top are features you normally find on *much* pricier guitars, and the electronics built into this are a good match to the quality of tonewoods used. It comes with the original straps and hard case, plus an extra set of Martin strings (pictured). The following is the description Takamine still shows for this guitar from their Supernaturals line:
Extrordinary acoustic performance in a stage- and studio-ready acoustic/electric instrument. The Supernatural TAN16C dreadnought is handcrafted in our pro series facility that has been building precision quality instruments over five decades. The underlying theme of the Supernatural series is understated elegance. Gloss finish provides durability and lasting beauty. The look is accented by a genuine abalone rosette and fretboard dot inlays. Gold tuning machines with amber pearl buttons further add to the premium look of the instrument. All Supernatural series tonewoods are hand-selected, premium grade timbres. A solid sitka spruce top, supported by scalloped X bracing, is voiced for power, deep lows, sweet mids and a cutting high end. An excellent choice whether you play solo or in a full band environment ... this guitar does it all. A solid Indian Rosewood back aids in projection. A pinless bridge makes string changing a breeze. Includes Takamine’s Palathetic™ pickup, known in the industry as one of the most accurate and natural sounding acoustic/electric pickups. The electronic performance package is beyond state of the art with the Cool Tube® Preamp – the first and only tube preamp in an acoustic guitar.

I played my TAN16C last night at a solo gig and, as expected, it performed flawlessly. All in all, I'd say a TAN16C is the very best value in the marketplace for a high quality acoustic.
