A spectacular example of a pre pre war Martin this guitar easily takes light steel strings and is currently strung with 11's that sound great.  It also sounded amazing with 10s and I'm sure some folks would go with silk and steels but it easily takes regular gauge strings.  It is in fantastic shape as you can see.  Would potentially be open for a trade as well.  I have lots of local and online references and am trustworthy.  (important with a guitar of this level)

Heres the description of the guitar when I purchases it.

A beautiful example in wonderful condition, working fine with steel strings. The original bridge was cracked beyond repair, and replaced with a new bridge and properly compensated saddle. Works great with extra-light steel strings, which it takes with no issues and no bellying of the top. So now the guitar not only has the steel strings that bring out the best in the X-bracing, but intonates well too. The top is initialed by Frank Henry Martin, the man who brought Martin through its Golden Era. There has been some work done, a couple of hairlines in the back and side, but it is so well done that it is very difficult to detect. The top is perfect, and beautiful. The interior of the guitar (bracing/bridgeplate) is undisturbed. Overall this is a very clean example and beautiful playing and sounding piece of Martin history.
It features distinctive green colored marquetry rings on either side of the herringbone rosette, engraved floral brass tuners, original bar frets and large head pearl inlay bridge pins. Tonally, the guitar has surprising bass and a certain stately presence that might bring the player into a reverie of playing in the back pews of an empty 19th century pennsylvania church. This guitar came from a Florida family where it was passed down over the years. Family lore was that its original owner rode with Teddy Roosevelt and the Rough Riders in Cuba, but like many old stories it can't be confirmed. The dates would be right though!

It is a spectacular instrument.  Its just that my other single 0 is getting played much more and in the end I prefer mahogany over the rosewood so I feel this guitar might have a better home waiting for it.  I have the original tuners but one of the worm gears is funky on one of the strings (G string if i remember right) these are a brand new set of nice vintage style tuners from Stew Mac and work amazing.  This guitar plays and stays in tune.  Great investment and player.
The ORIGINAL Shipping receipt is shown in the last picture.  How cool is that!?!?  I obtained this from the Martin archives recently.  Open to trades.
