Conn 10M 1937 relacquer

Up for sale is a rare and highly sought-after vintage Conn 10M Tenor Saxophone from 1937 (Serial Number: 276XXX).

This instrument comes from the absolute golden era of Conn's American production, featuring the legendary "Lady Face" (Naked Lady) engraving and Rolled Tone Holes. It delivers the signature massive, warm, and resonant sound that these pre-war models are famous for.

I purchased this saxophone about a year ago from the renowned Davy Holland Music on Ebay.

It was bought immediately after a complete overhaul, and all pads remain in excellent condition apart from the high F key pad, which even after cleaning has some grime (as seen on the photos) but is not damaged or worn through. The horn seals perfectly and plays effortlessly across the entire register.

As the title suggests, it has an older relacquer, with the Naked Lady logo still nicely visible.

Condition & Specifications:

• Excellent cosmetic and structural condition. No dents, dings, or mechanical imperfections. Couple of scratches - as is normal for a 90+ year old horn.
• Fully original parts, with the sole exception of the G# trill key, which has been professionally removed (a common modification to improve modern hand ergonomics and comfort).
• Reason for selling: have more tenors and so it is not played. It is a world-class instrument that deserves to be played regularly.
