A used Dove VOS, a limited edition model from 2020, has arrived in our inventory! (Consignment item)

Gibson's first square-shouldered model was the Hummingbird in 1960.
The Dove was introduced two years later, in 1962, as a higher-end model of the square-shouldered frame.
With its flashy and distinctive specifications, it remains highly popular even today, occupying a position between the Hummingbird and the SJ-200.

This instrument features a VOS (Vintage Original Spec) finish.
The concept is based on vintage guitars that have been carefully stored in their cases for decades in brand-new condition.
This is an ultra-thin finish that gives you a texture similar to a semi-gloss finish.
VOS, like a typical satin finish, is designed to easily develop a shine when polished or wiped down.
This instrument also has an overall glossy finish, and the VOS and glossy look are well-balanced, resulting in a beautiful appearance.

The guitar features a Sitka spruce top, flame maple sides, back, and neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
The guitar features beautifully figured wood throughout, a stunning natural top, and an undeniably handsome face.

The most important aspect, the sound, is a perfect blend of the crispness of maple and the enveloping, warm sweetness of square shoulder wood.
The sound has a clear core, yet it has just the right amount of brightness without being overly flashy.
Combined with the VOS finish, the wood has a rich, resonant tone that truly sings.
A really nice tone, like a good Dove.

Regarding the condition, the tuning pegs have been replaced with new ones of the same type (Grover 102N) at the request of the consignor. (The original tuning pegs are not included.)
Before sale, the bridge is glued and the entire setup is performed at our affiliated workshop, ensuring excellent playability.
The truss rod and frets have plenty of life left, so you can use it maintenance-free for quite some time.
There are some minor scratches from normal use, such as the addition of strap pins, but there are no noticeable scratches or dents, and the overall appearance is clean.

The pickup is the ever-popular LR Baggs Anthem, a dual system of under-saddle piezo and condenser microphone.
With its raw, user-friendly sound, this is the ultimate specification that makes it an immediate asset for live performances.

If you're looking for a nice, atmospheric dove amp, this is definitely the one for you!
Please take this opportunity to consider this exceptional instrument, highly recommended by our Gibson staff!
