The 2012 Gibson Les Paul Custom “Limited Run Production” in “Inverness Green” is an extremely sought-after instrument from a strictly limited small-batch run by the Gibson Custom Shop. ...and what a look! A mahogany body, mahogany top, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard with block inlays — it’s not often you get to hold a combination like this in your hands. Thanks to the translucent “TV”-style finish the wood’s beautiful grain shines through the light green lacquer, giving the guitar an incredibly elegant and aged appearance. The gold-colored hardware and the deep dark fretboard complement this perfectly. The neck with its ’59 Medium profile fits comfortably in the hand and, combined with its ideal weight of just 4,060 grams, plays beautifully. Above all, though, this fantastic Custom model truly shines with its sound. Even when played unamplified you can immediately recognize the guitar’s exceptional resonance. And when plugged into an amp, it really shows its full potential! A Custombucker is installed at the neck and a Burstbucker 2 at the bridge; when played clean, they sound extremely nuanced, vivid and three-dimensional, while with distortion they deliver a truly rich, punchy and fat tone. This gives us a top-tier instrument with a fantastic tonal range and superb tone, from clean through to high-gain. We’re offering this Les Paul Custom — which will definitely enhance any stage presence — except for slight signs of wear (scratches from a belt buckle on the back) in top condition.
