About this listing
This guitar is in very good condition with no damage and minor cosmetic wear. At some point, a Bigsby was installed as well as a roller bridge with the original stop tail and bridge included in the case. The Bigsby itself is mounted with a Vibramate kit meaning there are no extra holes in the instrument. The guitar was also outfitted with a String Butler that has been removed and is included in the case. The frets are also in very good condition with plenty of height left. The pickups look to be original and are stamped Gibson but have no other markings on them. There is limited information available as this looks to have been from a small run of instruments with these specs. The approximate dating of this instrument puts it at a time where Gibson was found to have imported woods in a way that violated the Lacey Act and a large amount of wood stock was subsequently seized by U.S. Fish & Wildlife. This could explain why this run of guitars have Maple fretboards instead of the standard Ebony but we can't be 100% sure. There seems to be both Ebony & Cherry finish models around but these appear to be rare and don't come up often. This guitar comes with the original brown Gibson case, COA, leather strap with strap locks & the original bridge.
