Jangle, Shimmer, and Tele Twang

Meet the Squier Paranormal Troy Van Leeuwen Telecaster XII, an instrument that opens up a whole new universe of sonic texture. Inspired by the layered, atmospheric guitar work of Troy Van Leeuwen (known for his roles in Queens of the Stone Age, A Perfect Circle, and Failure), this 12-string reimagines the classic Telecaster platform for the modern texturalist. The first thing you'll notice is that stunning Copper finish paired with a timeless tortoiseshell pickguard, a visual statement that's as bold as its sound.

Harmonic Complexity, Classic Feel

Squier and Troy absolutely nailed the playability here. The comfortable "C" Shape maple neck has a smooth satin finish that feels broken-in from the first chord. Combined with a modern 9.5" radius Indian Laurel fingerboard, it makes navigating the 12 strings feel natural, not like a chore. The custom-designed 12-string bridge, which allows for both top-loading and string-through-body configurations, is a thoughtful touch that makes string changes easier and enhances tuning stability.

Fender-Designed Tone

The engine driving this shimmer machine is a pair of Fender-Designed Alnico Single-Coil pickups. They deliver that classic Telecaster bite and clarity, but with the added richness and harmonic bloom that only a 12-string can provide. From glassy, chorus-like cleans to pushing a fuzz pedal into a swirling vortex of sound, these pickups capture the expanded frequency range with articulation and punch. It's the perfect tool for adding depth to tracks or creating huge, immersive soundscapes on stage.

- In business since 1976! Moore Music has been a premier brick-and-mortar guitar shop in Evansville, Indiana since shortly after opening in 1976. Founder, Pat Moore, instilled in his business the concept of old-school service that we build upon today. When the current owner, Brett Mulzer, took the store online as Moore Guitars in 2013, we quickly developed a reputation for honesty and integrity in all our interactions with our customers. That’s a prime reason why we’re the fastest-growing online guitar shop.

- Old School Customer Service: Nothing is more important than helping a customer even if we don’t make a sale. We believe that if we’re honest with you, and treat you right, you’ll be back. Call us, or chat with us online. We love talking about guitars, and we want to help you find your perfect instrument. Even if it’s not from us.... but we think it will be!

- Our sales staff are all musicians! What’s more important than communication? We speak your language. Whether you’re a beginner or a professional player, we’ve been in your shoes. A lot of aspects of the guitar are intangible, and a non-player just can’t understand. It’s a guitar thing. But we can talk about tone and feel in the same language you use. We know what it means to love an instrument, and we want to help you find your new love.

You should have NO disappointments when you see this guitar and hold it for its first strum! Please call the staff at Moore Guitars if you would like to have a personal “on the phone” description of this guitar. Thank you for looking at our listing!
