Yamaha Piccolos are a top choice by students and teachers alike and are known for their dynamic range, intonation and outstanding durability. Built with seasoned Grenadilla Wood and top-of-the-line fittings, modeled after the most renowned handcrafted instruments. These piccolos produce a wonderfully pleasant and rich sound, with responsive tone and feel.

These World-Class piccolos from Yamaha are ideal for the advancing piccolo player. Known for superior intonation, premium feel and ease of playing, this is a fantastic option the indoor ensemble player and soloist. Wood is ideal for indoor performance, as these instruments produce a rich, full and beautiful tone.

Wood is generally preferred over composite and metal piccolos for their tonal characteristics. Wood is much less piercing in the high range as compared to their counterparts and gives the player much more expressive capability. (wooden instruments should be used indoor only. Check out our YPC-32 for an instrument that can be used in a variety of climates)
